Jasper 6 month checkup

Took Jasper to the dr. and he weighed 18.25 lbs and was 28.5 inches long. He got long an skinny the past 2 months by growing 2 inches and gaining 2 lbs. He is now 93% in height and 57% weight. He is sitting up really well on his own and trying for the past month or so to crawl. All he can manage is getting up on all fours and rocking and going backwards across the floor. He gets so frustrated! He has 2 teeth that have been working their way out for the past month but still coming in slowly so he is a drool machine. He is the best baby with the sweetest disposition!

Jasper's first Halloween

For Jasper's first Halloween we dressed him up as a little stinker. Funny and adorable costume that cousin Stephanie gave to us. It was very fitting of Jasper's silly personality. We visited Granny and Papaw and trick-or-treated with cousin Ella. Then we stopped by to see the Osterfelds and headed out to Nana and Granddad's house. Nana got Jasper some cute Halloween books to go along with the event. All in all, we had a great first Halloween with our boy.

First Cereal

Jasper got his first taste of cereal and seemed to love it when he wasn't making raspberries and spitting it everywhere. Since this feeding he's had it 2 other times and I don't think he's all about it so we might hold off on it for a while longer.

First Lake Visit

The same week that Jasper rolled over he also had his first trip to the lake with Granny and Papaw. The weather was nice but the boat ride was a little cool. Jasper had a good time and got his toes in the water for the first time. It was a great weekend and the Cats beat UofL!

4 month Dr. visit/rolling over

Jasper rolled over the day before his 4 month Dr. Visit. He chose the week Mike was on work trip to roll over both ways and also start babbling like crazy. He noticed his voice and started making all sorts of noises. He tried rolling over at 3 months but it took him a while to figure out he couldn't just straighten out his body and stick out his chest and grunt. He figured out to lift his legs, grab his feet, and roll sideways. What a big boy!

At his 4 month visit he weighed 16.3 pounds and was 26 inches long! 80% in height still but he went from 57% in weight at 2 months to 72% in weight!

Jasper meets the Adam Family

My cousin, Trey, got married and so his receptions was the first time Jasper got to meet my Dad's side of the family. This was his second meeting with Aunt Gail and Cousin Katherine.

Here are some updates since Jasper's 2 month doctor visit. We get lots of cute shots so I thought I'd post a few.

First Road Trip

Mike and I took Jasper, my mom, and Nick to Paducah with us this past weekend to visit my grandparents. He travelled very well and slept the entire time. We'll see if he ever manages to do that again. It only took us an hour longer since we had to stop and feed him and change his diaper. It was a successful trip in my opinion. MawMaw and PawPaw were so excited to meet him. Here are a couple pictures we took when we were there.

SMILES

For a few weeks Jasper has been smiling and I've been trying to get a picture of it, but when the camera comes out he starts to frown. I FINALLY got some this past weekend. Just in time for our photo session with the photographer. Let's hope he'll do it for her.
